One of our favorite traditions at the end of a leg of a trip, or at the end of a trip itself, is to list our favorite parts of the trip. We did that over a (mediocre, our first) dinner last night in Dubrovnik. Here are the lists:

Maddie

1. Meeting the people of Vis (cab driver (loves the 80s music, originally anti-Eastern Europe), boat driver (age 65), the coordinator of the Airbnb – born and raised)
2. Stretch of progressively better restaurants (basement with live music in Split, Villa Kaliopa in Vis, Portofino in Split, Fort George)
3. Sunset on boat in Vis and submarine tunnel at dusk
4. Airbnb/hotel views (lovely lacy Prague hotel, balcony view in Split, night swimming in Vis, VIEW IN DUBROVNIK)
5. Alexa and my speedwalk from the museum in Prague, Jewish cemetery and Czech propaganda in WWII "anti-accommodationist" exhibit)

1. Walking around old walled cities (Prague, Split, Dubrovnik)
