Tonight we went to a meeting at Lafayette for 5th grade families. We heard a lot about the girls' upcoming overnight field trip to Gettysburg/Hershey Park, which is taking place in early June. We also heard about the Peace Class curriculum for the rest of the year, which is all about getting the kids ready for junior high school.
It was very cute – when Mr. Gregal finished his presentation about the field trip, A clapped. She was right in the second row, and he looked at her, pointed, and said, "Hey, thanks!" It was very sweet. Both girls love him.
We had a half hour tonight between when Imogene left and when I got home from the meeting. N went next door to have a playdate with Bella and Livia during that period. He did great, until a few minutes before I got there, when he all of a sudden realized that Nana had left. Then he started crying quite a bit. Poor pup!
When we got back home, he told me about a dream he had where there were many animals: an elephant, a monkey, a fish, a turtle, another elephant, and a monster! The monster scared him because it made a loud roar.
Daddy and M stayed at Lafayette a little longer to attend the Home School Association meeting. They learned about what Lafayette will look like post-renovation.
We are supposed to get snow (!) tonight. 2-3 inches. Seriously?!
