Update from Vegas and Guest Post from Grandma

So I haven't been able to post the last few days because I am in Vegas for CES. It has been fun, but very tiring. I love Vegas, but it's not as fun when you're working. 🙁

I do keep thinking that the girls would love it here. The Eiffel Tower, the castle (Excalibur), the pyramid (Luxor), New York, all the snacks, the spectacle, etc. I'd love to take them here. What fun we'd have!

I am looking forward to seeing them tomorrow. I've gleaned the following:

  • Daddy kept up the "first in line" streak Thurs and Fri so the girls were early AGAIN!
  • M was very excited to report that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are in love, which she must have read in Us Weekly
  • M told the Daisy Troop that A hadn't sold any cookies yet, which isn't true – I have sold cookies for both of them
  • both M&A think that they got all the words right on their spelling tests today

Grandma Sandy sent me this guest post this week – thank you! I am glad that I was able to inspire you!!

Yesterday, I asked A about a bracelet I gave her in July.  I wondered if she still had it.  "Yes," she answered and promptly raced upstairs to retrieve it.  It was produced within minutes.  I can't do that. Where does that wonderful sense of order come from?  Surely, not her grandmother.  Which leads me to think about this past week and hearing Gayle describe all the cleaning she did during her precious few days off from work.  She inspired me to finally set my desk aright and tackle a very neglected bedroom.  What an inspiration! Once more, "The Child is Mother to the Woman"– to paraphrase Gerard Manley Hopkins–who paraphrased William Wordsworth.
