Vacation Post I: Prague

We are already three days into our vacation! We've been in Prague the whole time and I think it is safe to say that we all love it here. The weather has been perfect for us to explore this beautiful and charming city. We've done a ton of walking all over the place, which is good because we've also done a ton of eating.

Some highlights:

  • Charles Bridge
  • Wallenstein Garden (aka Waldstein Garden)
  • National Museum and in particular the exhibits on animals and evolution (me, A and N)
  • Jewish Ghetto (in particular Dad and M)
  • the river
  • walking around our hotel's neighborhood
  • The Palace / Castle

We've had delicious meals – a traditional Czech dinner, a fusion/cool dinner, and a Viennese dinner, a crepe breakfast and another fancy breakfast this AM at a place near the Jewish Ghetto. There has also been gelato and these "chimney cones" which are like ice cream cones but shaped like chimneys.

We've gotten some souvenirs and taken selfies and had a good time!

In other news, M was stung by a bee tonight (ugh) and A FINALLY GOT A DORM AND ROOMMATE! She will be in 3rd North and has a two room suite with one roommate in her room. This is a huge relief and only happened an hour ago so she is now texting with the girl she will be living with. I have had terrible internet til now and it is late and we are leaving early tomorrow AM so here are just a few pics:
