Here is how V-Day went for everyone in the house.
N woke up to a Valentine from us and a box of chocolate. He brought his Valentines (store bought, paper airplane theme) to school and came home with a bag of Valentines from his classmates – all store bought, some with candy. We opened them tonight and he was mildly excited. He opened his chocolates and has been enjoying the conversation hearts I put on the table last night. He claims that the Valentine I bought him is the same one I bought him last year. I think he's wrong, but I am not saying it's an impossibility. He also made me some Valentine letters at school:
A had a long day of school, dance and rehearsal. She did one singing telegram today that someone sent to a boy in her class. She and her a capella group sang, "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You". She woke up to a Valentine from us and a box of chocolate, both of which she opened after rehearsal. She is working on Valentines for us now but she's also exhausted so I am sending her to bed.
M woke up to a Valentine from us and a box of chocolate, both of which remain unopened because she went to Model UN downtown right after school. So sad. We miss her and she's not answering calls or FT. Must be busy down there! She made us Valentines last night.
I had a nice lunch with Grandma Sandy in Bethesda and tonight Daddy and I went to a last minute dinner at Barcelona. It was very yummy and relaxing! I am amazed we got a reservation.
