Visit to the Doctor

Last night, M was complaining that her tummy hurt. It still hurt today, and I got the dreaded phone call from the school nurse at 1PM saying that she wanted to go home. So Imogene picked her up and they went home. I was able to get an appointment with the pediatrician this afternoon and brought her in to get a urine culture. (The last time she had a stomach ache for a few days, it turns out she had a UTI.) We were at the doctor's office for quite a while because despite drinking a juice box and a bottle of water, she couldn't seem to go pee! Finally she did, and the test shows that she probably does have a UTI. Thankfully she is now on meds, and hopefully she will be feeling better tomorrow.

Thanks to our friend Polly, who picked up A at school and brought her home.

This is Spirit Week at school. Today they were to wear blue and yellow, their school colors, which both girls did. Tomorrow is Twin Day, where you dress the same as someone else. A is being a twin with Abigail, and M isn't participating because she doesn't want to. She has taken it very literally and says she doesn't want to be a twin with someone that she doesn't look like (even though all you have to do is dress alike).

I am very tired because I have been sleeping with the following in my bed the last two nights:

  • Four pillow pets (Dottie, Brownie, Sparkle and Pandy)
  • Baby and Blankie
  • Purple blankie
  • Piggy and Bunny and Snuffy and Cousin Bunny
  • The pillow that M needlepointed
  • M
  • A
  • Allie

Unsurprisingly, I haven't gotten much sleep. I should be telling the girls no when they ask to sleep in my bed, but they are so cute and cuddly in the bed that I haven't had the heart to do it.

Here are some pictures that Grandma Sandy took of the girls at the Kennedy Center on Saturday:

I hope by now M feels much better. The pictures are so cute. Are the other women on the escalator people you know, or just other shoppers? M and A are so darling. Thanks for the photos.
Love,
Aunt Ann
