Yesterday, A missed school because she had a fever at 4AM. Today, she missed school again because her throat was hurting when she woke up. I took her in for a throat culture this afternoon and she does not have strep. I think she was disappointed to go through the culture only to find out that she didn't have the emotional payoff of a positive test. 🙂

We stopped for a popsicle on the way home to soothe her throat. Also, M had gotten ice cream after school, so it only seemed fair…

2 interesting tidbits from the doctor: 1) A has gained a whopping 1 1/2 pounds since last June; and 2) A hasn't been to the doctor (except for a flu shot) since last June, and that was for a checkup. She is a healthy kid!

I think she will be going back to school tomorrow.
