M&A have been fighting a lot lately over things like who gets to be first getting in/out of the bathtub, who gets into the car first, who gets to go first up the stairs, etc. It is very tiresome and quite difficult to keep track of. So we have a new rule – every day, we switch off who gets to be first, at everything, all day. Today was M’s day to be first. A apparently got into the bathtub before she did, which made her very angry, to the point that she refused to take a bath.
Buppie stopped over tonight for a visit. I had brought her a little purse back from the Bahamas and I asked M to give it to her. She decided to hide it, and then Buppie taught the girls how to show people where something is hidden by saying "warmer," "colder", etc. until they find it. M tried it out and was very good at it! A then tried it and instead of saying "warmer" or "colder", she just said, "look behind some doors". Very cute.
I bought the girls a bunch of new books yesterday. One of them is about where garbage goes, and all about recycling. We read it last night, and to my surprise, M wanted to read it again tonight. They remembered a lot of what was in the book, and tonight we discussed my recycling Allie’s dog food can and other things that we can put in the recycling bin. It’s a good lesson!
Today was the last day of soccer. Next Wednesday, the girls will move to the Wednesday ballet class, which is for more advanced ballerinas. Miss Eve says they are ready.
