High points of the weekend:

-beautiful weather
-nightswimming
-social plans for the girls (SD visits with friends) and for us (Jeremy and Robin last night; Matt & Ellen tonight for a quick drink in the backyard)
-N's bike streak intact
-the girls' reenactment of all of their Nutcracker roles last night
-the girls' raiding my and Daddy's old sweatshirts and t-shirts, to their delight and our amusement

Plus other smiles and laughs throughout the weekend. Things are grim around the country right now but the kids bring us light.
