It ended up being a busy weekend even though it didn't feel like it. N had baseball lesson from Emmitt on Saturday morning but not many plans the rest of the day. We tried to set up a few playdates but everyone had a conflict, which was too bad. Today, his baseball game was rained out – AGAIN – so after Sunday School he didn't have a lot going on either. We went through his clothes and took out the small stuff, and he spent the rest of the day reading and hanging out and watching the WS. We enjoyed a crazy b9 inning last night – just nuts. We also got "booed" today, meaning that someone dropped off a secret Halloween bag for us. There were lots of things in it that an 8 year-old boy would like, including a whoopee cushion that is now, of course, broken, after having been jumped on several times by said 8 year-old boy.
M is buried under a mountain of work and vote activities. She's a little stressed. She did have fun with friends, though – Phoebe slept over Friday night and they slept outside on the couches. Last night she celebrated Maddy C.'s birthday in her backyard with friends and an outdoor movie.
A is in between quarters but still has a fair amount of work to do. She and Charlotte went to a surprise birthday party for South Friday night and then Charlotte slept over since they'd both recently been tested. I think they were so happy to be together.
Adam Kaplan bought an RV to go across the country and do camp meetings and demos. He was supposed to stay in our driveway for 2 nights but only ended up spending 6 hours here today. His RV is very cool:
We went to Ben Pollack's Zoom Bar Mitzvah last night, which was nice. We did a little drive-by at his house after and got some cupcakes. Very sweet.
Otherwise it was a get things done weekend… cleaned out the garage and the kitchen. Yucky rainy day today = lots of things accomplished. Still more to do.
Another week starts tomorrow. Sigh.
