I just asked the girls to rate the Winter Dance on a scale of 1 to 10. M gives it a 4 – "I liked the food." A gives it a 4. When I got there to pick them up at 4:20 (the dance ended right at 4:20), they already had their coats on and were headed out the door of the school. So it wasn't that great, but it wasn't too bad either. The DJs were gym teacher Ms. McClure and kindergarten aide Mr. Benab. Both girls were horrified that the DJs played the Electric Slide. They liked the black lights, which lit up their white shirts. Most of the kids streaming out of school seemed to be smiling.
