A very long day today. Girls had school, Shabbat, and then stayed at home for the rest of the afternoon, despite the beautiful warm weather. But then we went downtown for the Smuckers' Stars on Ice show at Verizon. We went with Buppie, Jessica/Melissa, Sydney/Jen, and Charlotte/Doug/Heidi. It was a late night for all. I think the girls liked the skating… and the costumes… and the music… and their friends… but they were a bit too tired to gush about it on the way home. They are now asleep, which didn't take very long.
We prepared another care package today for an airman in Kuwait. The girls were interested in the edible stuff we sent, but were content knowing that it was all going to a soldier. Here's what we sent: shaving cream, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, soap, chapstick, sunscreen, paper and pens for writing, dryer sheets, Easter candy, microwaveable brownie cake, mac n'cheese, oatmeal, gum, and hand sanitizer. I mailed it off today.
Gymnastics tomorrow. Then Daddy leaves for two weeks. 🙁
What a busy day for all of you. I’m sure the girls will always remember the ice show. It is so good of you to send a “care” package to a soldier. M and A will always rememaber how good it is to be giving and caring.
Love,
Aunt Ann
