Here's what's going on here:
The girls are back from WMIDMUN! Their resolution passed – YAY – which is a big deal because they wrote the whole thing themselves. The resolution was about creating jobs for unemployed citizens in underdeveloped countries, and they also tied environmental issues into it. They represented Morocco. There were about 800 kids at the conference this weekend in Charlottesville – amazing! We got mixed reports on the hotel and the food (thumbs up from M and thumbs down from A) but they both had a good time and thought it was worthwhile. Congrats on getting their resolution passed!
N read all 61 pages of the Cat In The Hat to Daddy today. Amazing! He has really skyrocketed in terms of his reading. He loves to read now and especially loves it when someone is listening to him read. Tonight N and I resumed reading the Ballpark Mystery book we had stalled on a few weeks ago. This installment takes place at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. It’s the Home Run Derby/All Star Game, and someone is pulling practical jokes. Signs point to the AL catcher, but why is he sabotaging his own team? Could someone be setting him up?
A has lots of rehearsal this week (she IS Sharpay, after all!) and the kids are all off of school on Friday. I am traveling Wed-Fri for work, and Friday is also D-Day. Big week.
